Iain MacKenzie
President & CEO, Director
President
of SMART since 2002 and CEO since 2005, Iain MacKenzie has worked for
more than 25 years in the electronics industry in the areas of operations,
finance, and general management for corporations spanning the memory,
device, PC, and server markets. As president and CEO of SMART, Iain is
responsible for leading, driving and managing all aspects of the Company.
Previous to becoming SMART's president and CEO, Iain was vice president
of worldwide operations for SMART and Force Computers when both were owned
by Solectron. Before that, he was responsible for the start up of SMART
Modular Technologies (Europe) Ltd. Subsidiary, and he served as the general
manager there.
Prior to joining SMART, Iain made major management and leadership contributions
at other high technology corporations including Hughes Microelectronics,
Ferrofluidics, Inc. (NH), Digital Equipment Corp. (Semi-Conductor Division),
and Apricot Computers Ltd. (a Mitsubishi Company). He holds the Higher
National Diploma in mechanical and production engineering and the Ordinary
National Diploma in electrical/electronics engineering from the Kirkcaldy
College of Technology (Fife University) in Scotland.

Barry Zwarenstein
Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer
With more than 30 years of experience in global business and operations, Barry Zwarenstein joined the SMART team in September 2008 as senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer (CFO). His key areas of responsibilities as a member of SMART's executive management team include finance, tax, treasury, investor relations, internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business development, and risk management.
Previous to joining SMART, Barry held executive and senior level positions in several technology companies, serving as CFO for VeriFone Holdings, Inc, Iomega Corporation, Mellanox Technologies Limited, Acuson Corporation, and Logitech S.A. He began his career at FMC Corporation and progressed to the position as CFO for FMC Europe (Brussels, Belgium). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal (South Africa) and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA), and he is qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).

Wayne Eisenberg
Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Part
of the SMART team since 1995, Wayne Eisenberg is SMART's vice president
of worldwide sales with responsibility for the company's global, strategic,
and general accounts. During his career at SMART, Wayne has held the additional
positions of vice president sales, director OEM sales, director western
area OEM sales, and director channel sales.
He has 23 years of high technology sales and management experience, with
his career including positions at Toshiba America CSD, GRiD Systems, Harris
Corporation, Decision Data Computer Corporation, and Monroe Systems for
Business. Wayne has a BA in Journalism with a minor in Business Administration
from California State University (Chico, CA).

Jack Moyer
Vice President of Human Resources
With more than 25 years of human resources (HR) management experience in high-technology companies, Jack Moyer joined the SMART team in 2007. As Vice President of Human Resources, Jack is responsible for the Company’s worldwide Human Resource strategy; organizational development and planning, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition and employee relations.
Previous to his role at SMART, Jack headed human resources efforts for such organizations as The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. (SCO), Chordiant Software, Ore-Ida Foods, MasPar Computer Corporation, BusinessLand, Inc. and National Micronetics, Inc.
Jack’s expertise includes recruitment, compensation, employee relations, organizational development, and mergers/acquisition integration. He has the advantage of a wide range of corporate experience, having previously managed software manufacturing, corporate services, public relations, information services, and customer relations functions. Jack holds an MBA and BS in Business Administration (Marketing) from San Jose State University.

Alan Marten
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Memory Business Unit
Alan Marten has spent over 20 years working in high technology general management, business development, sales, product marketing, and finance. As senior vice president and general manager of SMART's memory business unit, Alan is responsible for product line management; business strategy; and oversight and management of engineering, SMART’s largest customer, the advance packaging group as well as strategic planning and marketing efforts. He joined SMART in 1990 as its director of sales, and then moved to vice president of sales and marketing prior to becoming vice president and general manager of the memory business unit.
Before joining SMART, Alan began his career at AMD as a financial analyst and a product marketing manager, and then he moved to Arrow Electronics where he served as director of product management semiconductor and memory products. Alan holds a BS in Economics from Santa Clara University (Santa Clara, CA).

Mike Rubino
Vice President of Engineering
With
22 years of engineering, program, and design management experience primarily
in the computer memory market, Mike Rubino has been with SMART since 1999.
As vice president of engineering, he is responsible for all memory product
design, test development, documentation control, NPI, failure analysis,
customer solution definition, BOM engineering, and new technology evaluation.
Previous to joining the company, Mike gained extensive career development
and engineering experience at IBM, Burroughs Corp, Schenck Trebel Corp.,
and Grumman Aerospace. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from R.I.T.
(Rochester, NY) and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse
University (Syracuse, NY).

John Scaramuzzo
Senior Vice President & General Manager, Storage Business Unit
With more than 23 years of experience in storage design and leadership, John Scaramuzzo joined the SMART team in January 2010 as senior vice president and general manager, Storage Business Unit. He is responsible for driving and expanding SMART's storage business in the enterprise, industrial, defense, and aerospace markets.
Previous to his tenure at SMART, John obtained considerable experience in management as well as product development at Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum and Digital Equipment. Most recently, he was the senior vice president (VP) and general manager of Seagate Technology's Enterprise Compute business unit, where he led the development of traditional rotating and solid-state storage as well as application specific ICs. Prior to that role, he held the following positions: senior VP of worldwide quality operations at Seagate; executive VP worldwide product development and research, senior VP and general manager of the enterprise products division at Maxtor Corporation; and several leadership positions at Quantum Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, an MS in Electrical Science from Harvard University, and three US patents related to disk-drive technology and applications.
